My favorite subject.

Hi ! :)  today i will write about my favorite subjec that is Animal Diversity (and before was biology :P). This subject is basically  about the different characteristics of the different groups (or phyla :P) of animals. And i like it because obviously i love animals and know more about them, and  know others that i didn´t know is interesting. 

And other reason is that  the laboratories are really fun because we open and dissect animals!. And  like that we can see the things we learned or saw in class=).
But the classes are not very entertaining because we have to write very much and are two hours so the most of the times at the end of the class i finished  tired xd.

In general i like the subjects like biology and that... because i like study  life. How we and the rest of the animals work... so im very happy with this career as I said in the blog of the "my career". And what i dont like very much (and i think for the majority of us :P ) is Math. For me is really difficult to understand :( and for the reasons that i like biology is not very attractive to me :P.

So that is it ... bye! :)

The person I chose is.....

Temple Grandin

Hi :) ! well first I don`t really know very much people in this field or maybe I can’t think right now in someone else. 

Someone that I admired and that I met because a movie was made last year about her is Temple Grandin... When I saw it and I knew her history, really like me because she is autistic and she has make very important things, even with that disability or special capacity. For her.... this “disease”  made her understand more things than the others can´t.

And now a little more about her…

She is American and a doctor of animal science. But also she is a Professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University. Temple Grandin is a person who cares very much about the welfare of the animals. For example and in the movie this is showed, she designed corrals whit a curved form because this reduce the stress in the animals in slaughterhouses. In a beginning no one wanted to accept her design because it was too much expansive, but this also decreased the unnecessary deaths of animals. So then was a success for the welfare of the animals and for the producers. 

And another important thing is that she is a example for other autistic people. She gives talks and things like that because she more than anybody understand them.

So this is it If you can´t see the movie do it!. Because is very good to see someone that really fight for the animal welfare.

The real Temple Grandin:)

My career =).

First  I had very much time to decided because when i went out of school i didn`t know what to study, so i took one year for preu for think about it and for be more preapred for u . 

So the careers in what i was thinking were nursing, veterinary, and others related with health. But then i thought that i really didn´t want to work with humans because for me the rest of the animals are more defenseless. Besides obviously i really love them!, i like them since i was very little. 

Is the best for me because is not a career to only make money, it has other purpose that is take care of them and that is so much important.  I think that always will make me really good, and i`ll be happy :P.  

So that is it, i love the career and the uni, because it is so big and  it has green areas and the mundo granja, for me is perfect. Also find people that cares about them so much  like me, is great.

Hi! :) My name is Alejandra but everybody calls me Ale. I am 19 years old. I`m a student of veterinary, I am in first year and so far i love it.The classes, the Uni everithing ...
I live in Santiago in La Florida, with my family: my mom, sister and brother. Both are older than me but we are very closed anyway :).

I have a pet, that is a female cat  and her name is Soffi,she is 5 years old. For her is that i love cats!. Also she is my first "big pet" because before i had two turtles but i bored and i gave them :P (to someone that want them more). Cats are much better.Before i didin´t like them but when you have one is totally different :). 

 So that is all with my pets. 
About me ...i like listen to music.. to see movies , read ....and sleep(:p).

I love nature and animals i feel very good in it  because since i was little i was going to the south to the ninth region, to campings and national parks and i really like that is beatiful! ...  Bye!
